The history of HeRo Mechanics Ltd began in 2018, when Esa Lohela and Väinö Konttila established the company, leveraging knowledge of the trade gained in their combined experience of over 40 years. Our factory is based in Nivala, North Ostrobothnia in Finland, 150 km south of Oulu. Our skills and expertise in manufacturing finely designed component parts made us recognized by customers operating in the fields of, among others, precision mechanics, medical, automotive, and military industries.

As a young enterprise, we also remain young at heart, we are flexible and always open to new ideas, concepts, and of course to development. In 2020 we were among the first in Finland to deploy the powder metallurgy technology in industrial processes. We started by purchasing a powerful compacting press and continuous mesh belt furnace from renowned Chinese suppliers. During 2020 we also created and introduced a quality management system that complies with ISO 9001:2015 standard. In the beginning of 2021, we were granted a certificate to confirm that our quality management system indeed fulfills the quality requirements of ISO 9001:2015 standard. We have maintained and developed the system ever since. As a proof of compliance and continuous improvement with ISO 9001:2015, we were awarded a certificate based on a renewal certification audit at the beginning of 2024.  The audit and certification have been carried out by an external, independent Fine Audit Oy.

We believe in continuous learning and are willing to try new technologies in our production. We are ready to face the challenges of an ever-changing world and evolve with it. Remembering our responsibilities to the surroundings, we seek out ways to constantly improve our production methods to be as environmentally neutral as a manufacturing process can be.
